IZA/SOLE Transatlantic Meeting of Labor Economists is underway

transatlanticThe 12th IZA/SOLE Transatlantic Meeting of Labor Economists, organized by Dan A. Black (University of Chicago) and Klaus F. Zimmermann (IZA and Bonn University), is currently underway in Buch at the Ammersee lake near Munich. SOLE is the society of US-based labor economists. Bringing together economists from all over the globe, but in particular from the US and Europe, the meeting provides a high-profile opportunity for young and established labor economists to present their policy-oriented work in labor economics and interact in a relaxed environment. The papers presented so far have been focused on highly debated themes, ranging from labor market dynamics and youth unemployment over vocational training to migration and social networks.
